I have been serving families in the Puget Sound area since January 2016. After having two children of my own, I felt inspired to serve others and share with them the power to find their own inner strength.
I moved to Washington state in the Summer of 2001. At first I lived in Eatonville, then Puyallup, on to Tacoma, and then eventually finding myself in Seattle. There I met my husband in 2005. Several years later we decided to start our own family and moved back to Puyallup, which happened to be his home town. We made our home, and now raise our family, mere blocks from the house he grew up in.
My professional doula career began in January 2016 when I studied at the Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations at Bastyr University. I have since attended many births with my mentor Sarah Osborne CD (DONA). Currently, I am working toward certification with Doulas of North America (DONA), and expect to be fully certified by the end of 2016.
I have also undergone additional training in the use of TENS unit, and Rebozo work for use during labor. In addition to that, I have received training in Placenta Encapsulation. Although, this is not a service that I am offering at this time, I am able to provide my clients with information and referrals.
